North Downs Gravel X

The North Downs Gravel X, happening on September 27, 2025, is a challenging off-road ride through the Surrey Hills and North Downs. This event takes riders on lesser-known bridleways, byways, and gravel trails in one of the UK’s most popular cycling destinations. With punchy climbs, fast descents, and technical terrain, this ride is ideal for experienced gravel cyclists looking for an adventurous day in the hills. There are two route options: • Long Route (88 km, 1,500 m elevation) – A technical ride featuring Leith Hill, Beggars Lane, and Winterfold Wood, mixed with smooth trails and fast descents. • Medium Route (54 km, 1,050 m elevation) – A shorter but still challenging route, covering five major climbs and rolling terrain along the North Downs Ridge. The 60% off-road terrain consists of fast-flowing gravel, rough bridleways, and steep climbs, making it an exciting autumn gravel challenge in one of the UK’s best riding regions.
