Formed in 2012, Black Magick SS is a Occult/Psychedelic Rock band from Tasmania, Australia, credited as the creators of the Magick Metal subgenre and known for the use of National Socialist imagery in their visuals. The bands members remain anonymous. Their music fluctuates with each release, blending genres like Psychedelic Rock, Black Metal, Doom Metal, Electronica, NWOBHM, Italo Disco, Space Rock, New Wave, and Synth-Pop. Initially released through Tasmanias “Infinite Wisdom Productions,” their work is now distributed by Lithuanias “Creep Purple Promotions,” a label known for promoting heavy psych and doom metal bands such as Electric Wizard and Mephistofeles. The band’s sound served as a major influence on the rise of other bands with similar sounds, such as The Gates (Canada), Behrosth (Russia) and many others.
