The Devils Cardigan returns for another year of grueling gravel racing in Tasmania’s rugged landscape. With two course options, riders can choose between the challenging 106km long course with 2300m elevation gain or the 54km short course with 1200m of climbing. The long course serves as the UCI Gravel World Series qualifier, testing riders with three brutal climbs, including Ralph Falls and the infamous “Un-Named Climb of Hell”. The short course remains demanding but offers a more social ride with one timed climb. Both routes start in Derby and finish at Branxholm Recreation Ground, except for the U19 category, which begins at the Ringarooma Aid Station. Riders should prepare for a mix of bitumen, gravel, and steep gradients that demand both power and endurance. Timed climbs will determine the strongest riders, making it an event for both competitive and recreational cyclists alike.
