Power-Bikers VZW is a vibrant cycling club based in Weelde, part of the Ravels municipality, with a membership of 90 individuals, including 60 men and 30 women. The club's name reflects the three districts of Ravels: Poppel, Weelde, and Ravels. Members gather at 'Het (Molen)slop' as their home base, embarking on regular rides throughout the year. During the summer months, women ride in groups on Wednesday evenings, Friday evenings, and Sunday mornings, while men typically meet on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. The club organizes rides in two groups starting in March, accommodating 15 to 20 cyclists each. Group 1 covers distances of 85 to 110 km at an average speed of 31-32 km/h, while Group 2 follows established routes. Monthly, the club participates in events organized by neighboring clubs, and weekend rides are also scheduled. A highlight of the year includes a three-day trip for men around mid-August, with women planning their own excursion during the Pentecost weekend. For those interested in joining, the club welcomes newcomers to ride with groups for up to two months to experience the camaraderie. Riding in a group is encouraged, as it enhances safety and enjoyment. The club maintains a minimum age requirement of 15 years for membership. Additionally, Power-Bikers VZW hosts an annual mountain bike event and offers a gravel ride, with pre-registration recommended.
